Electrical Installation
& Upgrades
Panel upgrades from 100A to 200A, Level 2 EV chargers sized by a load calculation, whole-home rewiring, lighting, ceiling fans, and standby generators on a transfer switch. Every job is licensed work: we pull the permit and the inspector signs off. Summit Electric has wired homes across the Springfield area since 1985.
Why Choose Our Installation Team
New Loads Need
Real Capacity
Homes ask more of the panel every year: an EV in the garage, a kitchen full of countertop appliances, a finished basement on a subpanel that was never sized for it. Before we add a circuit, we run the load math and check what the service can actually carry. Older houses around Springfield still have 60 to 100 amp fused panels and aluminum branch wiring from the 1960s and 70s, and a few have a panel brand later found unsafe still sitting on the wall. We size the work right, terminate it correctly, and the inspector confirms it. If something already failed, that is a repair; an upgrade is for when you want more capacity or a cleaner setup, and a full inspection tells you which one you need.

Electrical Panel Upgrade
Upgrade a maxed-out or fused panel to modern 200A service with room to grow, permitted and inspected, and a written price before the work starts.
EV Charger Installation
Level 2 home charging on a dedicated 240V circuit, sized by a real load calculation, permitted and inspected so it charges fast and safe.
Whole-Home Rewiring
Replace knob-and-tube, two-prong, or aluminum branch wiring with modern grounded circuits and proper protection, permitted and inspected, with a written price.
Lighting Installation
Recessed lighting, fixtures, under-cabinet, and dimmers installed on proper boxes and the right circuits, with switching that actually works the way you want.
Ceiling Fan Installation
Ceiling fans hung on fan-rated boxes braced to the framing, wired to the right switch, so they run quiet and balanced instead of wobbling and humming.
Standby Generator Installation
A standby generator with an automatic transfer switch, sized to the loads that matter, permitted and inspected, so the lights come back without you touching a thing.
Outlets & Switches
New outlets, GFCI and USB receptacles, dedicated circuits, and dimmers, side-wired for connections that hold instead of loosening and arcing over time.
